If you are using a Chromebook and you need to write “Pi” (\u03c0) you’ll soon realize this is not straightforward. The same happens if you need to type any special character or symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you find yourself in this situation these are the easiest ways to type Pi on your Chromebook:<\/p>\n\n\n

1. Googling It & Copying It<\/h2>\n\n\n

The easiest and fastest way to type Pi on a Chromebook is by copying it from somewhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this is a one-time thing and you won’t be writing the Pi symbol very often<\/strong>, then this is a quick (and dirty) solution that will do the job just fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you Google Pi you’ll find a few websites talking about it and chances are you’ll be able to copy it directly from some of the descriptions of the top 10 results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are good at remembering characters and keyword shortcuts this might be the best way to write Pi for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Using a Chrome Extension to Type Pi<\/h2>\n\n\n

There’s a Chrome extension for almost anything nowadays. So if remembering shortcuts or typing on Google is a bit too much for you, then you can still make the Pi symbol on Chromebook quite easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can use the utf-8 and unicode characters<\/strong><\/a> extension to do the Pi symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
