Valorant was only available on PC until recently, when Riot Games released its console version on June 14th, 2024. If you have experienced playing the game on a PC, you know how easy it is to team up with friends and accomplish missions. But is Valorant crossplay on gaming consoles? Read on to find out.

Will Valorant be available on PS4? Discover the answer here.
As of this writing, Valorant is only available to console users in Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan, and the United States. However, Riot Games says this is subject to change, so expect an expansion to other regions soon.
The console version of Valorant, released in June 2024, is a beta version, which is why there is a region limitation. Riot Games aims to release the full version before the end of 2024, but the exact release date has not been announced yet.
To play Valorant on consoles with crossplay, you need a Valorant account with no current violations, a Riot account, and your own Xbox X|S or PS5.

Why Can’t You Crossplay Valorant Between Consoles & PCs?
Riot Games said players can’t crossplay Valorant between gaming consoles and PCs to maintain fairness. It’s easier to play the game using a keyboard and mouse than a gaming controller, so PC users will gain an unfair advantage if Riot Games allows them to crossplay with console users.
Even before Valorant was released on gaming consoles, there were discussions about possible crossplay between PCs and consoles. Some even rejected the idea of crossplay, worried about its competitive balance.
For this reason, Riot Game’s decision to only enable crossplay across consoles is completely understandable. Not only does it maintain fairness, but it also satisfies players who initially rejected crossplay.
While cross-playing between PCs and consoles will not be available, PC users will receive live patches and updates simultaneously with console users. If you’re not receiving patch updates, Riot Games has a guide on enabling background patching.

Does Valorant Have Cross-Progression?
Yes, Valorant has cross-progression between PCs, Xbox X|S, and PS5. So, if you play the game on your PC, you can access your progress on the consoles using your Riot account.
Some of the game progress you’ll retain through Valorant’s cross-progression include your account level, weapon skins, currencies, battle pass, and mission progressions. This means you can continue to show off your skills and gaming styles even if you switch from one device to another.
Note: It’s worth noting that Valorant has the cross-progression feature even before it became available across multiple devices.
