Disney Plus has a big collection of content featuring classic Disney movies, Pixar films, Marvel superhero movies, Star Wars content, and National Geographic documentaries. This wide variety makes it appealing to a broad audience, especially children.

It’s even better if you can stream it while having the option to play games on a console like Nintendo Switch!

Can You Get Disney Plus on Switch

Nintendo Switch is a popular console for families and different age groups. It’s also a good device for watching Disney Plus as it’s kid-friendly. But can you get Disney Plus on Switch? We’ll answer that and more for you!

Can You Watch Movies on Your Switch?

Yes, you can watch movies on your Switch. You need to download the streaming app from the Nintendo Store or try a workaround. If you download streaming apps,  just launch them from the Switch’s home screen, like starting a game.

If you download supported apps, you’ll have to log in with your account if the streaming app requires it. Once logged in, you can select your desired movie and start watching.

However, if you’re looking for other streaming apps not supported by Nintendo, you must try a workaround, which we’ll discuss in the next section.

Can You Get Disney Plus on Switch?

Yes, you can get Disney Plus on Switch by accessing your console’s web browser. You can’t download the app directly, as it’s not in the Nintendo Store. It is unclear why Nintendo doesn’t support Disney Plus, but some people speculate that it’s because they want to focus on gameplay.

You should get a PlayStation or Xbox device if you’re looking for a game console that supports the Disney Plus app.

Is Netflix Available on Switch?

No, Netflix is not available on Switch. Like Disney Plus, you must try other unofficial methods to watch it on Nintendo Switch. However, the Switch’s web browser is not updated enough for video playback, so it will ask you to download a plugin whenever you stream a show.

To get the plugin, you’d need to jailbreak your system, which could make your console vulnerable to hacking. Remember that if you choose to do this, Nintendo won’t help with any issues your console may face.

Jailbreaking your Switch will also void its warranty. So, it’s better to stream Netflix using supported devices like iOS and Android.
